Religious Education

Cost to register is $90/youth.  Teens currently in Confirmation or who have already been confirmed are free.  You may pay below or via check or cash delivered to the parish office.  See each of the specific faith formation pages for more information on each of our faith formation programs.  Faith Formation for 2020-2021 will begin in mid-September and a letter with more details will be sent home in August.  We look forward to journeying with your youth closer towards Christ!

Family-Integrated Religious Education (Grades 1-5)

Students in grades 1-5 attend classes at the SFA Grand site school which provide the basic foundations of our faith. Students will learn what it means to develop a relationship with Jesus, gain a basic understanding of God’s Word in Scripture, and of the Mass. During this time students also prepare for their First Reconciliation and Communion.

Edge (Grades 6-8)

Youth in grades 6-8 are required to take part in Edge.  Edge will take place from 6:30-8:00 PM on Monday evenings. EDGE is a model of faith formation for middle school students that includes four parts during each evening: Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send.  EDGE seeks to deepen a middle school student’s understanding of their relationship with Christ, and our need for Him in our lives.

High School: Mini Courses and Life Teen or Dead Theologians Society (Grades 9-12)

Teens in grades 9-12 are required to take six foundational mini courses prior to Confirmation.  Teens are also then required to regularly take part in Life Teen on Wednesday nights or our new DTS on Sunday afternoons before the 6:30 PM Mass.  Both of these options seek to help youth further their relationship with Christ and help them become disciples.
