Parish Nurse

Parish Nurse

   Kay Goswitz, MSN, RN

The Parish Nurse at St. Francis of Assisi Parish ministers with care and compassion to the body, mind, and spirit of individual members to promote harmony and health within the faith community.  Always mindful of the Manitowoc Catholic Community Mission, the Parish Nurse motivates community members to care for themselves and others.  In collaboration with the Pastoral Team, the Parish Nurse assesses the holistic needs of the community and provides for those identified needs following the healing  mission of Jesus Christ.

We are in need of RN volunteers to staff the First aid Station at our Parish Picnic on August 4 & 5.  Duties include Blood pressure Screening and First Aid response.  Orientation is provided.

***VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children Adult Awareness Sessions***

St. Francis of Assisi Parish offers 6 VIRTUS Adult Awareness Training sessions per year.  The purpose of VIRTUS training is to provide and maintain a safe parish and school environment.  George & Dawn Jacobsen have faithfully facilitated the sessions over the past several years and we are grateful for their volunteer service.  In order to lessen the commitment, we are seeking several people to be trained as VIRTUS Facilitators.

TRAINING DATES:  August 16 & 17

 (8:30 am – 4:30 pm)   Lunch provided
