A Note from Fr. Jason 11/22/20:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Dear Parishioners,
As people of faith we know Jesus loves us and walks with us as we face the challenges of COVID-19. As we
speak with parishioners, many families are worried. We are always reminded that God is with us: “For God so
loved the world that he gave his only Son, so everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.”
This love that God has for us is visible in many ways. As we move through fall and on to winter, we witness His
present love through the changing of the seasons. God’s work continues in our parish today. With your continued
support of prayer, service, and sharing we are able to care for the dying, the poor, and help children learn more
about our faith in both religious education and through Roncalli Catholic Schools.
One of the ways your generous donations are used is in our elementary religious education program: Hearts on
FIRE. On Monday nights, we present our Catholic faith to children and to families in ways that are engaging and
enlightening. Our children receive a foundational knowledge, but also form the beginning of their life long relationship with Jesus Christ. The great gift of your sharing helps us to create hands-on activities that children work
on with their parents or grandparents, giving them an opportunity to connect with their faith, their relationship
with Jesus, and with each other.
We are so thankful for your generosity and continued support of our parish.
Last weekend we celebrated “Stewardship Weekend.” It was a time for self-reflection on our prayer habits, our
serving of others, and our sharing with God of our financial resources.
We would like to focus on the stewardship of sharing with this letter. This year, we invite you to renew your gift
and, if possible, consider a small increase to help our parish during these challenging times. Many families give
through a “Monthly Parish Support Withdrawal Authorization.” On the next page you will see the “Automatic
Transfer Payment Form.” Consider using this form or any of the other options presented. This is a simple way to
support our mission. Please know whatever you are able to give is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for supporting St. Francis of Assisi Parish. We pray for you and your families. May the Lord guide
you and your loved ones.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Jason Blahnik Deacon Mark LeGreve
