St. Clare Society

Mission Statement:
Foster spiritual development of the members.
Encourage fellowship among the members.
Support the needs of the parish prayerfully.
Support various worship needs and other needs of the parish financially.
Support designated charitable needs.
 
Membership:
All women of the parish are invited to join.
Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at the Waldo site.  No meetings are held in January, July or August.
Each meeting consists of prayer, business, a program and social time.
Dues are $5 per year.
 
Activities include but are not limited to:
Honor Guard at funerals of members
Christmas Party and May Banquet
Bus trips
Parish outreach and social concerns
Rummage and Bake Sales in October and April
Christmas Bake Sale in December
Roncalli International Food Fair
Parish Picnic

Council of Catholic Women at SFA (Vicariate 5)

The Green Bay Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) was founded in 1924 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral at the invitation of Bishop Paul Rhode, sixth bishop of Green Bay.

Its purpose is to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service, consistent with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church.

The women do service projects in the areas of church, family, international, community, legislation, and organization.

There are Councils Catholic Women at the parish, vicariate, diocesan, and national levels. The National Council of Catholic Women provides information on projects and activities that can be adapted for their parish and locality.  Parish affiliates include:

  • Spring Collection for the Salvatorian Mission Warehouse in New Holstein
  • Marian Day (May 19th, 2016)
  • Day of Enlightenment (October)
  • Lick Domestic Violence Campaign (October)
  • Meetings are held in April and October at rotating parishes
  • To unite all parish and mission organizations of Vicariate V in the work of Catholic Action.
  • To assist the clergy in the work of Catholic Action.
  • To stimulate the work of the affiliate organizations and individual members to greater usefulness to the Vicariate members.
  • To serve as an agency through which women of the Vicariate may participate in the Diocesan and National Councils of Catholic Women. 
  • To unite all parish and mission organizations of Vicariate V in the work of Catholic Action.
  • To assist the clergy in the work of Catholic Action.
