Edge Activities & Events
2018-19 Edge Schedule
We look forward to walking with you in your journey with Christ this year!
Our first semester will focus on Morality, including what morality is, the components of moral decision making, virtue vs. sin, and the Ten Commandments.
The second semester will focus on the Creed, exploring God the Father, creation of the spiritual and physical world, the fall of humanity and death, the person of Christ, and the Paschal Mystery.
We will also have a mini series on the Theological Virtues.
Follow SFA Life Teen and Edge on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to stay up-to-date on events and service opportunities. You can also find out about additional events in our Edge newsletter and quarterly youth ministry newsletters and by subscribing to our text messaging service, Remind, by text @edgesfa to 81010
Edge will also be responsible for leading the ministries at three masses throughout the year. Edgers will have the opportunity to serve, lector, participate in music ministry, usher, provide hospitality, and gift bear.
We invite families and youth to join us for an afternoon at Get Air Green Bay followed by Mass at the St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
Turn in both completed forms to Elizabeth Fritsch, Michelle Peters, or Dianne Vadney by January 24th.
We invite all religious education families to participate in ALPHA! We're so excited about Alpha that we've created a special ALPHA group just for our RE families!
Complete the Monday Night Alpha form to sign-up and let us know how many we'll be feeding (including any Edgers who'll be dropped off early at the Waldo site).
The completed form can be returned to Dianne Vadney, our Family Ministry Coordinator, via email or the form can be mailed to the parish office.
Edge: Religious Education for
Middle School Students Grades 6-8
EDGE is our middle school Religious Education for students in grades 6-8. EDGE will meet every Monday evening from 6:30-8:00 at the Waldo Social Hall. Middle school students gather with fun games or activities, listen to a teaching on the topic, break open the teaching in small groups (which are divided by grade level and gender), and close the night in prayer. Christ is changing the lives of the middle school youth here in Manitowoc. Come and be a part of this wonderful experience!
