From the Pastor 3/10/19:

Dear Parishioners, How is your PFA (Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving) level? As we journey these 40 days of lent, I encourage you to change your lives so as to come closer to Christ forever. Prayer, fasting and almsgiving are the three Lenten tools that we talked about in our Ash Wednesday homilies. Together they make up our PFA. I challenge you to access where you are in your spiritual life and to be open to being led by the Holy Spirit to make changes that will bring you closer to Christ. Then go about these 40 days of Lent, raising your PFA (Prayer, Fasting, and Alms) to make the needed change happen. If you feel you are being tempted to give up already, then this Sunday is especially for you. In this Sunday's gospel Jesus resists the temptation of the devil. So let us call upon our Lord to help us resist evil in our lives and to choose Christ and to follow his example. Thank you to Lynn Hoffman for her good work here at our parish, especially for her hard work on our weekly bulletin and with outreach through our parish to those in need from the Good Shepherd fund. Blessings as you begin your new adventure. Connie Heinzen will be taking over the weekly bulletin. She already handles much of our parish communications. Please use our bulletin email address: bulletin@sfamanitowoc.org for all bulletin submissions. The pastoral team will be taking over the outreach. Fr Doug
